4th of July, Argentina style

Our 4th of July Celebration was a success! I ended yesterday's post while baking a cake, and look how well it turned out!

Vanilla cake with dulce de leche and oreo crumbs....and
our version of the "American Flag" made out of a grocery bag

As typical hosts, we were getting antsy as we waited for our guests to arrive. Jordin twitpic'd this adorable picture of our roommates in our American-colored clothing with hot dogs, cake, ketchup and mustard to feel like we were at home.

Jordin, Stacey, Lauren, Armeen, me, Han, Elizabeth & Sebastian smile as we sat around the table for hours and just hung out, sang God Bless America and other stereotypical things! We had a great time living on Argentina hours (10 p.m. to 2 a.m.) on a school/work night and just hanging out with the rest of our program. Party success!
