Prrrum

Pictures from yesterday
Stacey and I at the Japanese Garden (Jardín japonés)
Jardín Japonés in the middle of Palermo
I never realized how much we should value elevators and people who move furniture. As Stacey and I walked home, we saw two men with a rope who were getting this sofa up to the 8th floor of an apartment building. Impressive!

What a beautiful sky!

Hoy/today

Jordin and I returned to Plaza Francia and then practically walked all of Recoleta today. We're trying to see as much of the "capital federal," or main area of Buenos Aires, before we start traveling on the weekends. We did some shopping (and window shopping) as we acquainted ourselves with Calle Santa Fe for the afternoon.

I finally found my perfect pair of leather boots and bought them! Not only do I love the color, but they fit perfectly and I got a 15 percent discount for paying with cash and buying them on a Saturday!

This is one of the songs that plays in just about every boliche/club in Buenos Aires. It's been stuck in our heads for ahwile, but it's hard to tell exactly what's being said and figure out the lyrics. After some intense YouTube searching for Daddy Yankee songs, Pitbull and other Latin American music, Elizabeth FINALLY found it as #137 on the Latin America iTunes top 200 most purchased songs.

Overall, it's been a successful and sleepless week. Tomorrow we're exploring San Telmo and hopefully heading to the Evita museum to see some different parts of town. The 12 hours of course credit work is kicking in with a Spanish exam and two papers due in the next five days! Time to work!
